Enforce Logic promotes and recommends the LED flashlights for general police duties. They are a bit more expensive to buy, but LED torches are now very bright and have a much longer runtime on a set of batteries (typically around 10 or 12 times longer burn than the incandescent versions) and the LED lamp unit will last thousands of hours compared with the more fragile incandescent bulb.  If you have a G2, G3, 6P or 9P with the standard bulb, you can now upgrade your torch by replacing the lamp assembly with the P60L or P61L LED lamp assemblies.
